New users may find it easier install Tinycore (with a Graphical User Interface), and become familiar with Tinycore before installing Core (with a Command line Interface). For installation guides, see the Index.

Core may be installed in a similar way to Tinycore, but with the following modifications.

Use core instead of tinycore

Use the Core-9.0.iso instead of the TinyCore-9.0.iso.

Install Additional Extensions

Use the command line App browser tce-ab

tce-ab

Try a Different Setup

You may also try a different setup.

For example, you may install a window manager other than flwm_topside.tcz.

There are many other things which can be done with Microcore. It is up to you.

Using Commands

Microcore can be run without a graphical interface. When run that way, you can perform tasks using commands in the terminal. Following are examples.
