GRUB4DOS The GRUB4DOS package “grub4dos.tcz” is intended as an alternative to the GRUB package “grub-0.97-splash.tcz”. The main use case in which GRUB4DOS supersedes GRUB is that it is possible to install GRUB4DOS in a way that it can be loaded from the Windows Boot Loader without repartitioning your drive.

piCore GUI via HDMI To have GUI available via HDMI, load the following extensions. After this you can use 'startx' to directly start the GUI, or just reboot and the GUI should start by default. You have the option to use flwm.tcz (title bar at the side) or flwm_topside.tcz (title bar at the top).

Public key authentication for user tc Below steps assume you already have a Public Key Pair generated. Using e.g. PuTTYgen (PuTTY Key Generator) you can generate a new key pair. Just search the Internet for a recent howto for generating and saving a new key pair.

piCore WiFi There are several options to obtain the needed extensions to get WiFi working. The easiest is to connect the RPi with an Ethernet cable to Internet. You can than use `tce-load -wi ` to install them. Below the steps to first download the needed extensions to an USB-stick and install them from there.

User tc Aim is to add another user which can be used for ssh access. Then allow to switch to the default user tc. With the default sshd configuration it is not allowed to login to a passwordless user. User tc has no password set by default and I prefer to keep it passwordless.
