dCore Desktop Quicky
The basic installation consists of kernel and initrd with an appropriate boot stanza.
To get a usable X11 desktop, one needs to add the boot-code desktop=flwm
and type out the following commands.
Optionally, use the -r
-flag for sce-import
to extract the '.deb'-files in RAM. The -b
-flag makes the extensions be loaded when booting the system.
tce-setdrive
(to set up the partion to contain the data-files)sce-import -b Xprogs
- optionally:
sce-import graphics-$(uname -r)
for additional graphics drivers
sce-import -b xorg-all
- optionally: reduce to the necessary drivers for your specific system.
sce-import -b wbar
sce-import -b flwm_topside
orsce-import -b flwm
(depending on screen format and/or your taste)
Then restart the system and it will boot into a graphical desktop.
