Xvesa is a display server for the X Window System Protocol Version 11 that works only on x86_32 Linux. It use video BIOS in VM86 mode. Supports only 4:3 resolution.

It contains unaccelerated display driver that will support any card with a VESA, VGA or even EGA BIOS (VESA 1.1 is the earliest supported version; VESA 2.0 will give better performance). Except for the display driver, the Xvesa server is identical to Xfbdev.

x86_64 users could use Xfbdev with vesafb kernel driver.

Xvesa doesn't use configuration file like Xorg.
